Sukhi brings over a decade of experience in the childcare field working in various roles with 0-12 age groups. She holds an Early Childhood Educator license and is currently completing her Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) degree at Capilano University to further her education and knowledge in child development and education. For the past 5 years, Sukhi has worked for CEFA in Richmond where shee began as an ECE and progressed to a Vice Principal, Principal and finally as an Executive Director. Most recently Sukhi took a four-month contract position as Senior Manager with Burnaby Family Life where her responsibility was overseeing six city-operated childcare centres. Additionally, she has experience working as a Professional Life Coach and Child Development consultant with community organizations. However, the most important role in Sukhi’s life is being a mother to her son who inspires her every single day to do better in everything as a person and an Educator.
Recently, Sukhi relocated to the Guildford area in Surrey, which is when she knew it was time for her to find a role closer to home and she wanted to return to running my own daycare as opposed to overseeing others. Her greatest strengths are building connections and open communication with children, parents, and Educators. Sukhi believe that each child is unique and as an Educator, we need to continue providing an open and balanced learning environment for every child to thrive.
